About April

The camera and I were meant to be

April and the camera were meant to be. Her interest in photography developed early and naturally, as she spent her childhood watching her dad paste together his photos and news stories for her grandfather’s newspaper. That family business, “The Reporter Newspaper,” is where her love of photography began and grew. If you want to capture that perfect moment in time and have your own photography treasure, April is your girl.

April specializes in children’s portraiture and enjoys capturing children as they truly are. She creates beautiful memories by keeping it simple. She only uses available light, both indoors and out, for all of her portrait sessions. April believes that natural lighting is always the most flattering light.

She particularly enjoys combining her love of antique treasures and photography. Having family heirlooms intertwined in the portrait session makes for priceless photographs. April has several locations in Hill County that she likes to use for sessions, but she is more than happy to visit a location that is special to you and your own family.

The stars at night - are big and bright Deep in the heart of texas. The prairie sky - is wide and high Deep in the heart of texas. The sage in bloom - is like perfume Deep in the heart of texas. Reminds me of - the one I love Deep in the heart of texas. The cowboys cry - ki-yip-pie-yi Deep in the heart of texas. The rabbits rush - around the brush Deep in the heart of texas. The coyotes wail - along the trail Deep in the heart of texas. The doggies bawl - and bawl and bawl Deep in the heart of texas.
